“Back to the roots” is the motto of our TwangStar – honest rock sound that has been convincing for generations.
Equipped as standard with our own 1950’s Broadcaster and Classic ’53 P90, string-through bridge and Kluson Vintage tuners. The electrics consist of high-quality, specially adapted pots from CTS as well as a 3-way switch.
Of course we also build your TwangStar according to your ideas. Everything is possible, from other pickups to other bridges or vibrato systems to conversion to a baritone guitar. To give you an idea here are some photos.
The neck is classic, a “C” with vintage frets and 7.25″ radius (9.5″ up to 14″ optional). The fingerboard is made of either smoked oak (very dark), Ovangkol or walnut. The neck is protected by many layers of oil and wax. So you always have the perfect playing feeling.
High-quality oils are used for the surface finish, allowing the wood to breathe and giving you, the player, a direct connection with the wood. Alternatively, the body can also be finely finished in whole or in part with nitro lacquer (like this model in British Racing Green).
In order to reach even the highest, the neck-body transition has been ergonomically designed. Nothing is in the way here.
Body (examples): ash (photos), european alder, black korina, optionally one or two-piece
